Privacy policy
Last updated 28 September 2026
The short version: your PDFs never leave your device. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no tracking cookies and no ads, and we don’t sell or share personal data.
Your documents
When you watermark, sign, lock, seal, verify, inspect, compress or clean a PDF, all of the work happens inside your web browser on your own computer or phone. Your files, their contents and your passwords are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and we never see them.
What goes into the PDFs you create
You decide what is added to your files. Depending on the options you choose, a sealed PDF can contain:
- the signer name you type, your signature image, and the date and time of sealing;
- a document ID, your copyright text and your public signing key with its signer ID. This is what lets others verify the seal. It can’t be used to sign as you;
- a QR code containing a link to qb2pdf.com with the document ID, signer name, time and signer ID in it.
Anyone you share the file with can see these details, and if they scan the QR code, their phone opens the link on our site. Leave the name blank or switch off the QR code if you don’t want these details included.
What’s stored in your browser
The first time you use the app, it creates a personal signing key and saves it in your browser’s local storage so your seals stay consistent. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Back it up first if you want to keep sealing as the same signer. We don’t use cookies.
What we measure
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It is privacy-first: it uses no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint visitors and doesn’t track people across websites. It gives us totals such as how many people viewed a page, roughly which country they were in, and how quickly the page loaded. It never sees your files.
Hosting and other services
Like any website, the services that deliver our pages process technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to work and to protect the site from abuse:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and also serves the open-source code libraries it uses (via cdnjs);
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces.
That processing is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. We don’t have access to a log of individual visitors.
If you email us
Email to contact@qb2pdf.com is forwarded to a personal mailbox. If you write to us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply. We won’t add you to a mailing list, and we’ll delete the correspondence if you ask. Please don’t email us confidential documents.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect personal information, there is usually nothing for us to give you a copy of or delete. The exception is email you have sent us. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Write to us and we’ll help.
Changes
If we ever add accounts, advertising, or any feature that collects personal information, we’ll update this page before doing so and change the date at the top.
